Spring 2012 trend setters have definitely taken the idea of using bright and Pastel colors to a whole other level. Many fashionistas would consider this makeup trend to be part of the “color-blocking” Spring craze.  It’s been very obvious that many women are taking part in this trend, and really tried to blend the use of bright and poppy colors into their already existing makeup style.

There is a huge advantage in participating in the many trends we find in Makeup. Spring 2012 in particular has some amazing trends that can really help you find or create your very own style in makeup. Meaning these are styles that you can use for your everyday look for many years to come.

Most Spring 2012 makeup trends are extremely wearable, and can be considered classic to clean looks that can also be worn on an everyday basis. I find the clean makeup and bold lip combination to be perfect for office, and can be carried out into an evening look very easily by simply adding some individual lashes to add texture to the eyes, and maybe a little under eye liner for some seduction.

A perfect evening look using the metallic & glittery Spring Fashions Makeup Trends.

Color-Blocking 2012 Spring Trends

Color Blocking is not only a fun, and mood-lifting trend that can be incorporated into your current makeup style. It’s very wearable for an easy day, and office look. It’s still very clean, and works well with all skin tones. If wearing too many bright colors scares you, stick to one bold color. You can wear your bold color on the lips or lids of your eyes. It can be the whole lid or just the rims of the eyes. A bold colored or glittery eyeliner will compliment any look beautifully. To keep the makeup looking clean, and appropriate for the day and office try using the lighter shades of the bright colors if you decide to use any on the lids for a day look. Save any neon brights for the evening, and club.

My personal favorite of them all is a bold lip. I have been faithful to all my bright lip shades  that my personal beauty kit contains. Slowly I’ve been pushing all my nude lip colors to the sides.

My personal favorite look. Love this makeup look.

How I wear my Bold Lip Color:

There are so many ways to wear fabulous bright colors, and amazing bright colors to choose from. My personal and current favorites are definitely corals, bright oranges, and bright pink. First and foremost the skin needs to look clean, and very fresh in order to make these colors really stand out. All bold and bright colors should be the main focal point of this fabulous spring makeup trend.

If I decide to wear a pink shade of the bright lip colors?  My foundation is normally on the lighter side, with minimal contour, and a dewy sheer highlight with more of a rosy flush color for my cheeks.

When wearing Tangerines, Corals, and bright Orange lip colors. I really want this beautiful lip color to pop, and Fashion Designer Jason Wu really showed us how to rock this color. The skin is sun kissed,  both lashes, and brows are very clean and well groomed. The key words are “Sun Kissed” for the skin. Very subtle bronzers, light orangey shaded blush on the cheeks, and a sheer dewy highlight on the cheekbones near the temples.

Rocking bright orange, and coral lip colors.

I will share with you some of my favorite lip colors, and you’ll be surprised how inexpensive they are.

In love with all these bright orange and coral colors.

Revlon Creme 677 Siren $7.49 available at Target

Sephora Tangerine Tango Cream $19.00

NYX Luscious Lip Gloss Pallet in Sweet Orange $8.00

Revlon 170 Coral Reef Lip gloss$7.49

I’ve become a fan of a lot of Revlon’s lip colors and glosses. As a professional makeup artist you end up giving away a lot of lipsticks, and glosses to clients that want to retouch their lip color through out the day. This has become a great alternative to giving away my more expensive lip colors. All lipsticks and glosses average out to $8.00 each.

Hope you give some of these bright colors a try for yourself.
