It’s been a little over 4 months where I have been paying close attention to my daily skin care routine. Skin brightening has been my main focus to be exact. Choosing to be very dedicated in using products containing Lactic Acids, Antioxidants, and concentrated amounts of Vitamin E to help with the brightening process.

The Skin Resurfacing Cleanser has all the ingredients needed to help reach my goal of porcelain looking skin.

These are all key ingredients to help brighten up the skin, and diminish the appearance of hyperpigmentation.

What is Hyperpigmentation:

Increased pigmentation increased by melanin that causes areas on the skin to appear darker than your natural skin tone. Frequently  hyperpigmenation is caused by unsafe sun exposure, acne, medication, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation cause by skin damage, and sudden changes in hormones like pregnancy.

There are different forms of hyperpigmentation that is visible on the face, and here are some examples:

Hyperpigmenation caused by pregnancy hormones.

Freckles are considered to be hyperpigmenation caused by unsafe sun exposure.

Post-Inflamatory pigmentation caused by acne.

Using the Skin Resurfacing Cleanser By Dermalogica is a great way to help diminish the appearance of these skin conditions. The cleanser is creamy, dye free, and has no sent. This cleanser works well with most skin types and even some with sensitive skin.

If you’re skin has minimal skin hyperpigmenation this is still a great product to help brighten up the skin. There are huge advantages to this product, and other skin brightening products. Makeup becomes a breeze. You skin will appear brighter, and even toned allowing you to use the sheerest coverage or skipping makeup entirely.

Just make sure to be cautious of the sun exposure and always wear SPF.

How I use this product:

I try to use this product almost on a daily basis, day and night. Depending on what time it is, and if I’m wearing makeup I begin by using a cleansing oil to help remove dirt, oils, and any makeup debris. I then continue with the daily microexfoliant also by Dermalogica.
The Daily Microexfoliant helps by removing dead skin cells, and re boost skin by increasing skin cell renewal. However, you really have to know your skin because all these products in combination can be a little drying because of all the brightening ingredients. I sometimes skip the exfoliant step, or switch to a calming cleanser for a couple of days till my skin feels well hydrated again. This will all depend on your particular skin type, and how well hydrated it feels to you.

Of course if you plan on being outside you’ll want to apply SPF to protect the skin from any additional pigmentation.
