Make up and other cosmetics organization does not have to be expensive, or complicated.
You can use items found in office supplies store, the kitchen section at your local Target, Walmart, or The Container Store. These are items that would never be thought of for cosmetics because they’re not sold at the cosmetic department or are the color pink. Lol.
I’ve put together some ideas, videos to show examples, and prices to help.
Take your time with this project, so you don’t become overwhelmed.
Find a system that works for you.
The drawer and lipstick acrylic organizer are from The Container Store
Brushes are easiest to reach if they’re standing instead of laying on a flat surface. It makes it easiest to spot which kind of brush you need. I like to use different pencil cups, and containers so I can separate the bigger face brushes from the smaller finer shadow, and lip brushes.
Cutlery trays are perfect for organizing smaller pieces of cosmetics like concealers, eyeshadows, blushes, and all kinds of smaller products.
In this video that I’ve attached the makeup guru shows how she uses mail dividers to organize her Eyeshadow and Blush Palettes, also my favorite idea of the cutlery trays used inside drawers to organize smaller cosmetics.
In this following video that I found on YouTube this makeup guru uses DVD cases to store her MAC eyeshadow and blush Palettes, and Nail RACKS to store her lose MAC pigments. I think this video was intended to show her collection but also shows great ways to store your makeup.
I really like the DVD case idea for palette storage.
