Getting ready for any special occasion in 2024, has never been so complicated.

In the world of plastic surgery anything is possible. It’s up to the individual how much they’re willing to go through and how much it will cost you.

Between cosmetics we put on our faces and cosmetic procedures that are trending, makes it is difficult to decide which is right for you and your budget.

Not to worry, I am here to break it down for you.

As a 40 year old beauty blogger I am faced with daily insecurities and overwhelming beauty information on the internet, mostly on instagram and other social platforms. I get stressed out sometimes to figure out which beauty routine is best for me and how much I can afford.

For some strange reason, women have been programed to see beauty as a luxury and not really set money aside for products and treatments. The upkeep for an averaged 40 year old can get very expensive and a lot of these procedures have to be touched up or redone every few months.

Once I have something done like botox $1000, something else needs to get done like my hair $600 and my nails done $160 every two weeks. That alone, sadly is more than I make a week sometimes. I know I am not the only one that can find it challenging at times to have these services done routinely. Like how does that even seem realistic for someone that doesn’t make celebrity kind of money. We just have to figure out a way on how we can make more money and how frequently we can do these much needed procedures.

These are just the basics. There is so much more you can do to help beautifying and rejuvenate yourself.

Skincare should take priority over everything, having a professional esthetician and dermatologist is very important to include to your over all skin health and appearance.

Follow skincare expert Jazelle Morales from Love Sick Cosmetics. She is the best for facials, especially hydra facials and can do house calls for your convenience.

Dr. Bashey is one of the most amazing dermatologist with all the latest in chemical peels and laser treatments.

Something I recently added to my beauty to do list, is treatment for ugly veins that appear on your legs and foot. Getting older has been a little stressful keeping up with all of this with beauty pain, recovery time and cost. Most people don’t include recovery period with some treatments. Like peels can have your skin peeling for a month. I had to reschedule a peel multiple times because I didn’t have time to recover due to prior engagements like wedding, sweet 16 and my daughters prom. I needed my skin to be ok with makeup so that I can put my best face forward. As we get older the cost of beauty maintenance only goes up.

I will keep sharing my aesthetics journey through my blog for readers that can relate. I have 20 years of experience working with plastic surgeons. I started when I was 18 and its funny to me now, that I am the patient for all these rejuvenating and anti aging procedures.
